Being overoptimistic and short-sighted that this may be another easy farming ground I built Kimotsuki... Well, it is anything BUT an easy farming ground I am progressing very slowly and a bit scared of the final battle. Any tips and tricks are appreciated. What this final battle looks like? Is it another nightmare bloodbath with high level opponents on a very small map or anything else?

I did the exact same thing as you did. Got way over my head and got destroyed in it. There’s three other 400k expeditions and I’m guessing they’re all equally as tough.
I’d wager you’d be better off trying to prioritize survival over loot in these ones because the 50 ban-kin at the end is way more important than any cash you get through.

Kimotsuki and shimabara are my mistakes in tenkabitu, so much gold wasted. Lvl17-18 enemies, one negative outcome from events and you are doomed. Definetely leave them for later.

I have two battles left: one normal and one hard. I guess I can overcome these... But it will be reckless to use any of my food rations (and this is inevitable, because some of my units have less than 50% health) without knowing what the final battle looks like...

Nagoya is the one of the 400k expeditions I picked first and it is ok, with lv7 enemies and a boss battle that has 3 lv8 generals but they can be defeated one by one.

Correction to myself. Shimabara isnt lvl17 it is doable. I just try to stay away from events which will most likely give -xx% strenght for your whole army. Thats nuts.

So, we have 4 expeditions at the tail end of the two corners of Japan, and each costs 400k coins to build.
Based on experience, which is better in terms of ease of clearing or Sweep rewards?
(Kind of hard to build them without saving up, farming Campaign or clearing Conquests.)

(Kind of hard to build them without saving up, farming Campaign or clearing Conquests.) Paying for one of this is probably the most stupid thing I did so far. To throw 400 k to the wind, and now I am sitting helplessly surrounded by buildings I am unable to construct. I still have to win the final battle but it is highly doubtful that sweeping it is more profitable than Chapters in the Library.

I dont think they provide better rewards compare to first ones either so they should be left for last. With 3 healers I am able to push lvl17-18 enemies but at the end rewards meh. I would pick library sweep anyday if it wasnt for the achievement. We need 100 expedition victories (clearly with sweeps).

If you do library sweeps to get 5 purple equipment each week, you can smelt them to get 50 black irons which can be traded for 10 magatama.

Yeah library sweep is better even without equipment drops but you need expedition sweeps for an achievement. 100 expedition sweeps for 50 magatama. Since I am done with campaign and tenkabito right now, General fragments can wait while I finish some achievements.

Did I understand correctly that of the expeditions costing 400k, Nagoya is the easiest? What are your tactics for fighting the final boss?

If i had to choose between two 400k expeditions: Shimabara, (which i understand is kinda alright?) and Namioka (in the north) do you know which one is the easier of these 2? Shimabaras 1st lvl enemy units are lvl 9. Namioka 1st lvl are lvl 11. But idk about the endboss and overall missions.

I haven’t decided on the next expedition, although I still have no money...
