Because we were waiting for an update with the Crimean war for two months or so, we had an opportunity to complete all upgrades in time. You can try to defend a city in the NW as well. If I remember, you can deploy your princesses there. So don't fight right from the start. Just follow the main enemy force and try to recapture cities. And then you have some time before AI's reinforcements arrive to prepare your defense. Ok, but should I attack them, or just stay a safe distance behind. I find whenever I try to use artillery to harass their troops some of them attack me, and because all my tech is not maxed out, I have a ok -just below difficult, not easy- time dealing with them. So do you recommend I don't attack the enemy unless I have to? (ie they are in an objective city), both strategies have their pros and cons... Also what does NW mean? And where would you recommend I deploy Sofia/the other princesses? Sorry I have so many questions lol It's o.k. to have so many questions  . The mission is really difficult. The problem is that I haven't unlocked it in my second run, so some details can escape. It would be really helpful to upload some screenshots of it, especially how you deploy your generals, and tell us who of your generals has healing items. Because it is a general rule: those who have ambulances etc. - attack difficult targets, those who don't have - support, attack easy targets or avoid fighting altogether. NW means North-West. So it is a city lvl3 in the top left corner. Concerning Sophia/Louise. I usually use a rule of thumb . If I can concentrate my Commanders with aura around a city - I deploy Louise, if not - I prefer Sophia. In this mission you can deploy Maria as well (in your own city) to produce some mameluks for your cav generals. |

A problem is that my forces are split up. If I hold the N city, the NW city is vulnerable and I cannot send aid to the SW city as well.
Holding the N city means death for its defenders because the NE and NW reinforcements usually will lay siege to them and sweep through my defences.
Spamming Mamluks will deplete my resources and I cannot receive income until the challenge is almost done because there is a guarantee of overpopulation. This means that I cannot build forts as well.

Try to defend only the city in NW. Concentrate all your forces there, deploy Sophia/Louise and abandon other targets. |

This battle is rigged, even a normal unit without general on their side has more health than mine with Murat.
Yet, managed to 2 stars with only Alex remains.

This probably is the most fun challenge i have encountered. By fun i mean the most frustrating challenge i've ever encountered. Back to grinding 1798 Netherlands conquest i guess. Yeah, very often in ET games "fun" and "frustration" are interchangeable words  When doing Nimitz's 40% discount, I was both frustrated due to not being able to pass it, but having fun due to besieging an entire Japanese Fleet. While being very difficult, this mission certainly looks fun to me, especially as someone that loves the art of war, with it the concept of sieges. |

Oh my, this mission looks harder than Operation Antarctica Hard. WC4 missions are easier in comparison to some difficult EW6 missions. But the most difficult ones are still in EW5 - Volgograd, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Panama etc. |

Didn't play EW6 but Battle of Balaclava and Siege are the hardest missions in EW6. I posted earlier in this tread how I got 3* but I had Butcher and Napoleon so I had a lot of help☺
