It wasn't even that bad. You get to use 10 generals, and I have slots and IAPs (yes I am a p2w scumlord), so I used 9. Blucher, Murat, Dabrowski, Lan, Ney and Sakurako for my cavalry. Everyone except Murat and Sakurako got mamluk cavalry, Murat got a car, and Sakurako got a measly musket cavalry. Mahmud, Scharnhorst and Nelson for my artillery. What I did was pretty similar to what zabadanov86 suggests, follow their army and snipe at their generals and eventually hole up at the northwestern city with Sophia. Mamluks huge defense and lifesteal + (+40%) def from my generals + Sophia = invincibility. I let the artillery follow the car generals while I keep swapping out people tanking with Mamluks in the city while everyone else lifesteals enough HP to be the next city tanker. On turn 13-14 I force marched Murat and Dabrowski to capture the northern city, and easily held out the last turn. The real threat here is morale reduction. The russians have a ton of cars and tsar cannons and those can reduce the morale of your units, so they can stunlock you if you're unlucky or careless. I'm much more worried about Battle of Balaclava, as IIRC they ban cavalry generals there. Great, you only used two specialized artillery generals. So, let me see... My cavalry generals are going to be Blucher, Murat, Dabrowski and Lan, which leaves me 1 free slot. My artillery generals are going to be Mahmud II and Napoleon, which leaves me another free slot. My infantry generals are going to be Massena and Karl. So I have space for two navy generals and Barclay to serve as a third Infantry generals in the missions where Infantry is banned. Awesome. Is that potential roster good? Cause I think that 5 cavalry generals are way too much. Granted, I will have 4 just for this mission, but I think that 5 are too much. Remember that infantry generals are banned if you want that third star. Sakurako really didn't do a lot, but she could have if I could have afforded another mamluk. That team is going to be enough if you use your admirals here too.

I mean, I would use Barclay in the missions where Cavalry is banned, because in those, my Infantry generals replace my cavalry generals. Okay. I can use Sakurako as additional cavalry and Nelson as additional artillery, thanks a lot!

Research plague on first turn and cast it on enemy armored cars. I will make screen shots of Balaclava 3 stars in a month. I had laser eye surgery so I'm on a break ☺

IDK,this mission scares the *Auto corrected* out me,and I don't scare too easy. I would reckon getting 1 or 2 star would satisfy most😁😅 I 3* it with 4 cavlary 4 arty but not fully upgraded ranks and skills, I presume it could be done with marshalls with key skills max. I intend on maxing all of my generals anyway. Thanks a lot!

At least Tolstoy and Vorontsov are their normal selves, which aren’t that strong.

Did anyone get 3 stars without using an IAP general? I am currently working on trying to get 1 star, but my generals are still being upgraded. It seems a waste to buy an IAP general now that I only have this last challenge set left.

It seems a waste to buy an IAP general now that I only have this last challenge set left. The only IAP general that would make a difference on this mission (and the game as a whole) is Blucher. It's totally beatable without Blucher. No IAPs whatsoever is another story since only 4 cav is as much as you can reasonably get with 8 slots and you need lots of cav on this mission if you want to 3 star it.

Yeah Blutcer is a game changer. It is possible without iaps I will do it if you really want to see it. Instead of Blutcer I will use Ney and instead of Napoleon Sharnhorst, the rest of the team remains the same.

I have all the aura gens (3 cavs+3 inf+3 art+Nelson)max out nobility, marshall and aura skills + Sophia. Still have 3 slot of free gens and Wellesley is not bought yet. What gens should I buy for this 3 slots?

Lan, John will be enough. If medals isn't a problem then Davout is better than Lan or not? Not sure why John when I have 3 aura art+ Sophia. Also do I need to consider Suvorov too (for his high BA). My goal is 3* Crimean all with one strongest line-up only (so no need to delete a gen to replace one other for a particular mission).

John or Sophia. I used Lan instead of Davout because I think she has better skills. I used Suvorov and Bismark for battle of Balaclava 3*. Check out battle of Balaclava thread.

This one is really hard. There is a huge gap between the previous ones and this challenge. I had obtained 3 stars in all the campaigns and all the previouschallenges. But for this challenge I was unable to have a single star. I finally got it, with a bit of luck, after 15 or 20 attempts and 2 weeks.
I've often been stucked before during the game. But when you are blocked on a challenge, you can progress on a campaign or on the conquests. You can win more medals and money. Then you can come back to the difficult challenge and finaly bringging victory. This is not the case with Crimean war. When you are stucked with all tech fuly upgraded, the only way to progress is the daily challenge and farming netherlands sometimes. It take more time to reinforce your troops.
