This mission is insane. My Napoleon on arty normally could deal 50% damage, but now only 25%. My Blutcher on armory cavalry could one-shoot infantry, now 30% max. Non-general enemy units are all Elite infantry, Musket cavalry, ... with 400+ health each. I could only hold off the second wave and got 2*
How the hell could we get 3*? Ridiculous mission

Ridiculous mission Don’t worry. This is the hardest mission in the game and getting 2* is already quite impressive. Most people struggle to get even 1*. Take your time to upgrade your generals well.

The reason for your lower artillery output is driven by this mission military technology which allows longer range artillery (3 cases but 25% lower power). Check the national technology in the city you start with and you will understand I managed to get 2 stars, very tough mission. Pls check also my tips in a separate Siege thread, this is my video, hoping it helps. Good luck ngduyhieu, <img src="//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/bbcode/video-preview.png" video="<iframe width="560" height="315" src=" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>" alt="Video Preview">

No one read my advice and i got 3* and explained the procedure to finish the mission perfectly ☺ The advice you provided is to spam Mamluk cavalry and place the remaining cav gens on it. With 3 cav gens on my roster for now, it's too few to beat Siege with 3*s yet.

Yup 3 cavlary generals are not enough I think. Just try to focus on folowing invading forces and snipe one by one general. Take north city and leave one unit to defend it. It is bound to fall don't try to keep it. When you take northwest city make permanent base with Sophia as a princess. The reason for that is because all troops from reinforcement will storm that city. Try to encircle it with militia to prevent it's fall. With the rest of troops follow invading force to south city and when you secure it rush to north city with force march to retake it and that's it☺

Didn't screenshot firsts turn, I assigned Maria to my city due to cavalry discount, bought one mameluk and light arty and moved troops north. Screenshots are made at the end of the turn.

Woohoo! Thanks zabadanov86 ! How was it? This is the mission in the game that I fear the most. Do you mind telling which generals you used, SolidLight? And any princesses?

So we cannot use Infrantry generals? Being mostly Cavalry bent, myself.,and upgraded I can live with that. I am not even there yet,but getting close tho. This one looks like off the scale hard. Just want a 2 star. What other prerequisites are there? silvercreek, I think you can beat this mission with the following generals (If you haven’t beat it yet): Blucher, Murat, Dabrowski and Lan for cavalry. Napoleon, Mahmud II, Alexander I and Sophia/John (I prefer Sophia). With this lineup, I believe that you can beat this mission with 3-stars. It also leaves space for Massena (Or whoever is your first Infantry general aside from Karl), Karl and Sakurako.

Woohoo! Thanks zabadanov86 ! How was it? This is the mission in the game that I fear the most. Do you mind telling which generals you used, SolidLight ? And any princesses? It wasn't even that bad. You get to use 10 generals, and I have slots and IAPs (yes I am a p2w scumlord), so I used 9. Blucher, Murat, Dabrowski, Lan, Ney and Sakurako for my cavalry. Everyone except Murat and Sakurako got mamluk cavalry, Murat got a car, and Sakurako got a measly musket cavalry. Mahmud, Scharnhorst and Nelson for my artillery. What I did was pretty similar to what zabadanov86 suggests, follow their army and snipe at their generals and eventually hole up at the northwestern city with Sophia. Mamluks huge defense and lifesteal + (+40%) def from my generals + Sophia = invincibility. I let the artillery follow the car generals while I keep swapping out people tanking with Mamluks in the city while everyone else lifesteals enough HP to be the next city tanker. On turn 13-14 I force marched Murat and Dabrowski to capture the northern city, and easily held out the last turn. The real threat here is morale reduction. The russians have a ton of cars and tsar cannons and those can reduce the morale of your units, so they can stunlock you if you're unlucky or careless. I'm much more worried about Battle of Balaclava, as IIRC they ban cavalry generals there.

I'm much more worried about Battle of Balaclava, as IIRC they ban cavalry generals there. Great, you only used two specialized artillery generals. So, let me see... My cavalry generals are going to be Blucher, Murat, Dabrowski and Lan, which leaves me 1 free slot. My artillery generals are going to be Mahmud II and Napoleon, which leaves me another free slot. My infantry generals are going to be Massena and Karl. So I have space for two navy generals and Barclay. I will use Barclay to serve as a third Infantry general in the missions where Infantry is banned. Awesome. Is that potential roster good? I’m not sure if Barclay is really needed and if I should replace him with Alexander I, who isn’t exactly the best at artillery, having practically just his Aura.
