Do medkits make it possible to complete this level with at least 2 stars? Of my 8 generals, 2 are infantry, so to try the 3 *, I would have to stop using 2 generals, which would make my play very difficult.

There is no medic pack on windows, so i don't know if it is really usefull.
zabadanov86 (Mar 8, 2019 at 1:40pm) explained how to get 3 stars : "Key to this mission is Mameluks. Got 3 star on it, Bluther on armored car, Murat, Dabrowski, Davoutvon Mameluke that were bought on discount due to Maria, Napoleon, Sophia, Alex, Mahmud and Nelson on arty, bought 2 light arty and budget in the end was 2 gold. Then move on north and follow the invaders, take eastern city, leave one unit, take middle, make it a permanent base, then take western and hold. In the end retake eastern city with force march. With Mameluke kill units with low health to regenerate and that is your key to survival."
For two stars (one key point and no infantry), there is a video by War Emperor here :

Then, you can sell your gens and train them all over again. The alternative is medkits, but since the original challengers didn't have access to this crucial element, we don't have guides featuring the use of medkits.

It's not allowed to do it with infantry generals, even placed on cavalry or artillery units. To get 3*, it seems that you need 8 or 9 non infantry generals, and especially cavalry and artillery. As i see, zabadanov86 dit it with 4 cavalry generals and 4 artillery (+Nelson). 6 of them where aura generals (and two where IAP). Personnaly, i've only one aura general . So i'm happy to have gone over this difficult challenge with one star... And i don't dream of a better result. For two stars i will probably have to buy and upgrade Alexander, Mahmud, Dabrowski and Ney. It would be a long long way ...

Of my 8 generals, 2 are infantry, so to try the 3 *, I would have to stop using 2 generals, which would make my play very difficult. Med kits are very useful when defend the city. Just follow the usual attack, north city, north west then south west. I use 5 arts (3 aura + Sophia+Nelson) + 5 cavs (3 aura + Lan + Louis Desaix - yeah this one just to fill max slot). 8/10 (except Sophia+Desaix) are max skills, max rank, max nobility also. And I use 8 medium kits + 8 large kits, so you could say I make an overkill for this challenge. In the end I recapture 2/3 cities, the last one is stand strong until the end, and nearly if not all my gens are survived. Basically mamluk + kit every single round on the cities make them unkillable. In the end, I think I use more of brute force than tactic. But if it's working, why not?
