Hey guys, i am curious what would you consider to be an ideal general for each unit type.
Mine would be:
Infantry (aura): Inf master, Pf, assualt, infantry commander, tactics master Infantry (non aura): inf master, pf, assualt, tactics master, intercept.
Cavarly (aura): ludendorf with jungle fighting instead of pf. Cavarly (non aura): strike, surprise, tactics master, jungle fighting, mountain fighting.
Artillery (aura): salvo, jungle, artillery commander, tactics master, artillery expert. Artillery (non aura): salvo, jungle, mountain, tactics, artillery master.
Navy (aura): line of battle, tactics master, alert, escort, navy commander.

Get artillery expert instead I was thinking that way. If a cavarly/artillery general has mountain fighting, I won’t remove it unless the rest of their skills are perfect. An extra 11-15% damage would be a huge boost.

This actually depends on which unit I'm using. For instance, I'd be using plain on normal infantry but Forest+Mountain on Heavy Machine Gunners. And I might consider edge on cavalry generals on Cold Weapon type cavalry.
But the best build is Ludendorff with Forest instead of Plain, no contest.

For non-IAP players, Ludendorff can be replaced with Plumer/Moltke, and Petain with Lee/Haig

Thinking back, I’m going to replace Petain’s Aura with Infantry Expert. I’ve only changed 1 skill of his, therefore it’s going to be possible for me.

Jeez, ET’s nomenclature is really confusing. It’s not Infantry Expert, it’s “Infantry Master”. It’s not “Navy Expert”, it’s “Gunsight Master”. But the Cavalry and Artillery critical skills are “Cavalry/Artillery Master”, meanwhile Infantry’s critical skill is “Formation Master “ and Navy’s critical skill is “Position”.
