kanue, NetherFreek, and 16 more like this

Well, from my view on the forum, there isn't a simple way to find the difficulty of a conquest in one page for EW6. So I'm gonna make one so it's easy. I'm gonna make it the way NetherFreek did, credits to them on making this difficulty format! This will take me a bit, it wont be fully done at once. Note: These are ranked compared to other countries in the star tier, except for very easy and very hard difficulties. A hard 3 star could be easier then medium or easy 1 star.
If there are any mistakes or typos, please point them out! Much appreciated
Key:
purple - very easy. There will be only a few of these. They're easy overall. Recommended for beginners.
green- easy
yellow- medium
red- hard
dark red- very hard. There will only be a few of these. They're very difficult overall. Good luck on these. Don't touch them as a beginner. Only attempt them mid-late game.

3 Star countries
Great Britain - Nobody will try to invade you, good economy, starting Mediterranean fleets with troop carriers, can help allies. Easy overall and also a good option for speed running and beginners.
France - A lot of fronts to manage, not too hard though. But imo there are better beginner options. Still not too hard though, you do get a lot of nice generals so if you want them as a beginner, go ahead and try France, it's not hard to win.
GUIDE FOR 1798 FRANCE: link by best75
HRE (Holy Roman Empire) - Hardest 3 star nation. Sure, they have a lot of units, but you have a lot of fronts, more than France, and you're basically the cake of the French Imperial side (blue side). It does have a good spot for speed running right at the center so it's another speed runner option.
Spain - The only hard part is defeating Portugal and the British fleet at the start. But after that it's very easy. Support your allies and help them out in struggling fronts, and try to invade Ireland and then Britain later on after the Prussians and Russians are defeated.
Ottoman - This isn't too hard. But theres a lot of micromanaging and theres an annoying British fleet that goes for Athens which you will have to defend. Aim for the troop carriers first and then the fleets, if you want to get rid of them.
GUIDE FOR OTTOMAN 1798: link by Nobunaga Oda
Russia - a bit similar to Britain and my choice for the 3 star conquest achievement in 1798. The hardest part is the Ottomans and thats it. Start off by building up two big armies. One will go defeat the Ottomans and later on Italy. The second one will go push through Poland killing them, and go help in North Germany to France then to Iberia. Two most important allies to help are Sweden to defeat Denmark and HRE so they can hold off the French and waste their time so you can come in and help. Great beginner choice.
2 Star countries
Naples - The hardest 2 star country. Your closest allies are Sardinia and HRE, both get pummeled at the start. Prepare for spam from Italy, Spain, Ottoman, and France until you're dead. If you wanna break out and beat them back, get good generals, especially cavalry to clean up all the spam. Not recommended for beginners.
Prussia - You start with some great generals. Defeating France isn't too bad, but you will need to use almost all your units and money. But then the Polish join. Then it gets annoying. Maybe a good gen or two if you wanna win with this guy, but there are far better choices.
Sweden - Great 2 star country choice. Declare on them around turn 2-3 when your ready and push really hard into Norway. Copenhagen, their capital you have to sail to but thats not that bad. Similar to them though. Kill your rival, and help out your allies for the rest of the game. It's great since you're surrounded by your allies after killing Denmark. Recommended for beginners.
Denmark - An easy 2 star country for 1798. Like Sweden, kill your rival. Then go to Russia. You can go from Finland which is harder but faster or go through Prussia which is easier then the other choice but a bit slower. Recommended for beginners.
1 Star countries
Netherlands - The easiest conquest in the game. The best way to get grind medals and gold. What is there not to like? The only conquest where you can do nothing, without needing anything. Highly recommended country for beginners. Once you get used to this it only takes 15 MINUTES to do this.
GUIDE ON HOW TO AUTO NETHERLANDS: Happy Grinding! <----- The Link by Erich von Manstein
Italy - pretty easy 1 star country. Help France beat HRE, defeat Naples with your allies, and the conquest goes on simple after that. But honestly, you're way better off playing Netherlands instead.
Sardinia - used to be auto grindable like Netherlands but got nerfed. Now hardest 1798 choice. Constant, constant spam for a tiny one province country. Your only friend Naples gets pummeled. This isn't very hard difficulty since it is 1798 era and nothing is crazy op.
Portugal - another hard 1 star challenge. To beat this you'll need a lot of generals. Britain does help but Spain is strong. This is medium since it's not close to Sardinia difficulty.
Poland - similar to Portugal, but now you're surrounded. Now this must be way harder right? Well it's around same difficulty because Russia joins pretty late and we have a great general to work with, Dabrowski. Once again hard and needs generals that are good but not as hard as Sardinia.

Three star countries
Spain - There is no threats to you. Morocco is easy to kill off. After that, you can do whatever you want. Go bribe nations and help your allies. Make an army and go after Germany and Russia. Very easy and great choice for 3 star.
Austria - You're the punching bag of Europe. Everyone spams at you on each side. You do have some good gens like Karl but seriously, dont pick this as a beginner. Only for challenges/speedruns. Sure you have op Karl but once attacked by a demoralizing unit like heavy cavalry you can bet he will be paralyzed.
GUIDE FOR AUSTRIA 1806: link by Nobunaga Oda
France - Once again, lots and lots of great generals. Prussia might hit hard at the start. But they're just a 2 star nation trying to stay alive, you're arguably the biggest power in Europe. As for the British its not hard to take care of them. Troop carriers are very weak and make a blockade, or block every hex a unit can land on with a unit, specifically generals like Wellesley.
GUIDE FOR 1806 FRANCE: link by Louis Gabriel Suchet
Great Britain - similar to last time, nobody can get on you homeland. You have good economy as well so support your allies a lot and bribe certain enemies out and allies in. Good beginner choice.
Russia - A massive amount of cities to use. You have great artillery gen Alexander I. Also you have the op Tsar cannons which you start out with. Make two armies, One through Poland --> Germany --> France --> Iberia and another big one to take care of the Ottomans.
Ottoman - now you have a lot of cities to use. kill Russia, and after that it's very easy. Not a bad beginner choice. Also Mahmud II is a great gen for artillery and even better when fighting in the Middle East.
GUIDE FOR OTTOMAN 1806: link by Mountbatten
Two star countries
Sicily - the hardest 1806 start. Everyone spams at you. Spain, Italy, Ottoman, and even worse, France and Egypt! Don't even look at this start as a beginner. You will need very good generals for this.
Egypt - very easy nation for 1806. Nobody comes at you except for Morocco and Sicily if you're unlucky. You really dont have to do much other then help out your allies and do some bribing. I think this country is definitely auto-able but nobody has found a way yet. Highly recommended for people that want the 2 star achievement for 1806 done.
Denmark - It's similar as last time, kill your rival and help your allies. Still easy and good choice for beginners.
Sweden - Well these Scandinavian starts are almost always the same. Kill your rival and go help with allies and stuff. Don't expect these two easy nations to change for a while.
Rhine - Well surviving as this nation isn't hard. So what is hard then? Well your units and your only general are all crap. Then you have to face the mega op 534 hp Karl coming after you. Not a good choice for beginners.
Italy - kind of like Rhine, but a lot less Austrian units towards you. Sicily? Well they do fight hard, if you let them join late. Instead you should just declare on Sicily and Sardinia at start so they dont have money to spam. The Austrians, don't bribe them and keep paying Rhine after Sicily is gone (if Sardinia is still alive its fine allies will finish them) since it is actually a bad idea to delay the Austrians since they spam really hard after bribing them too much.
Poland - Prussia has to fight a hard 2 front war between you and France. They're not hard to beat after Turn 10. Need some gens though. The Russians you will have to hold off against until France helps.
Prussia - You have to fight at your best against France. You need a lot of gens for this. But Russia can take care of the Polish this time way quicker.
1 star countries
Netherlands - not auto-able (yet) like 1798 but still easy as the worst enemy is some British trying to land on your coast. Bribe out enemies and bribe in allies. Great one star choice.
Saxony - Some might think this is very hard, but it's not that bad. You just have to spam militia against Prussia until they're gone. Do nothing at start except put your cavalry general if you have one on the heavy cav regiment and move him a bit. Keep the gen in Dresden until he dies and start the Militia spam. Use your starting cash to bribe Rhine, Austria, Poland, and maybe the Dutch, the Danes, and the Italians if you want to but you might wanna save some cash for the start. Good choice for one star country.
GUIDE FOR SAXONY 1806: link by Deleted
Morocco - The Spanish have nothing better to do other then spam right at you. And if you don't have good luck Egypt will cross Africa and go after you as well. Then all your other enemies will spam at you. Good luck and probably not a good beginner choice.
GUIDE(?) FOR 1806 MOROCCO: link by Storm
Sardinia - Yay, I have so much spam I can't even have my units breathe in this province I have! - is what you might after trying Sardinia 1806 without any generals or tech. Don't try unless you have a lot of good generals, especially aura ones.

3 star countries
Austria - This is Austria at it's hardest. The least cities in start and on every side there is going to be some enemy. No Karl. The only good general you have is John. Very hard, need very good techs and/or generals.
Great Britain - The French Imperials are definently strong in this conquest era. But hey, who has the strongest royal navy? Yeah. Still, nobody can land on you.
GUIDE FOR BRITAIN 1812: link by Louis Gabriel Suchet
France - Now that the Spanish are in the Coalition it gets annoying. One more front for you. You do have a lot of money and generals though still, not the worst choice for a 3 star in this era.
Spain - If you've ever faced the French, it's always been annoying. Cavalry with grenades and grenadiers that resist a bunch of damage, bunch of exp, annoying generals, good wonder, it is hard. You have some money though so militia spam can work.
Russia - bunch of strong French generals and Polish coming straight after you. After that it isn't hard except for defeating the Ottomans maybe. Keep your allies alive though.
GUIDE(?) FOR RUSSIA 1812: link by Louis Gabriel Suchet
Ottoman - The Russians are in a vulnerable spot because they are focused on the other front in order to defeat the French. If you can confuse and annoy them and support France they're dead meat for sure. If you've ever played Russia or Ottomans, you know that defeating your rival (Ottoman/Russia) is the recipe for a strong powerhouse in Europe. But the Egyptians are your enemy. Either go in with your armies and/or support Algeria.
GUIDE FOR OTTOMAN 1812: link by Louis Gabriel Suchet
Canada - nations in the Americas are harder then a European because if Europe dies, it's really hard to invade it. Canada is not the strongest 3 star nation what so ever, the American main force is coming straight for you. They have some decent gens as well and your gens are quite crap. British do help but it's not enough. The strategy for me is similar to the campaign, just keep defending and when they are finally struggling counterattack.
GUIDE FOR CANADA 1812: link by Nobunaga Oda
USA - Yeah, you're in America, and you have two fronts rather then one, but hey, look at your generals and wonders! the Statue of Liberty is a great wonder. Scott is not bad for Artillery either. Once the two foes are gone its easy from there.
Mexico - It's like Canada but this time no cool militia, and your overlord Spain isn't helping you. However you don't get hit as hard as Canada but Canada you have to keep alive or else getting rid of America will take too long. It's same difficulty imo.
2 star countries
Italy - you only have 1 front now, and it's against Austria who isn't impossible to defeat. The Sicilians/Neapolitans are finally your friends, and they have Murat with them, and Austria has to face you, ottomans, Bavaria, Naples, and more. Nice!
Algeria - While the Moroccans, are strong, the Egyptians arent that bad. So declare Egypt, kill them, go to Morocco and then kill them, and then go into Spain and help France with Peninsular war. Sounds nice!
Portugal - Most of the game is taking care of Spain. Give them money a lot and help them kill of the French. After the French are defeated and your American allies aren't wiped out its pretty easy.
GUIDE FOR PORTUGAL 1812: link by tythegod
Poland - Austrians, Are very busy in the South, Prussia joins late, so its just You and Russia, but now with French generals with you! But once Austria decides to go for you and/or Prussia joins, its hard.
Sweden - well Denmark won't die quickly because of Greenland which is annoying. The French side can do a lot and can kill Prussia and give Russia a hard time in this conquest. So you may have to conquer whole germany and maybe Russia.
Prussia - thought the French were bad on one side? How about two! A bunch of op generals France and Poland have, they can split up and beat up you and Russia.
GUIDE FOR PRUSSIA 1812: link by Deleted
Denmark - Well they're still easy since these guys are on French side. Sweden does not have a colony to run away to unless you call Finland a colony. Killing them off isnt that bad and now Killing the Prussians and Russians you dont have to do mostly yourself now.
1 star countries
Egypt - How does Egypt go from very easy to very hard in one era? Two reasons: Algeria and your side. Before hand you were mostly surrounded by your friends. Now everyone around you hates you. Also, remember that big blob next to you, Algeria? Well they hate you as well now. Good luck, you'll need good techs and generals for this.
Morocco - Well that big blob that wanted to eat you is now on your side. You do have to defeat the Algerians though, and Egypt can't really do much. Not bad 1812 choice.
Naples - The best 1 star for 1812. Look, you're surrounded by friends. Closest enemies are Austria and Egypt both which get pummeled, and best part, YOU HAVE OP MAX MURAT! What is there not to like?
Bavaria - Another Great choice for 1812. You only have one front at start: Austria. How many fronts does Austria have? A lot (unless you consider whole South one front, I don't). The next wave is Prussia which isn't that bad. Great 1812 choice.

France - Do you want to be surrounded by hordes of enemies on all sides? Do you want to have a very time consuming, difficult conquest? Do you want to feel no hope in 1815? If you said yes, this is your challenge. Good luck. Even as a player with great generals and great techs this is hard.
Austria - Well the hardness from 1812 has cooled off a bit, especially since Poland is gone now. Now it is just you and the Ottomans and Italians. But support Prussia and Spain, or else they die and France made it's defeat earlier look like it never happened.
Ottoman - Support France and Algeria, and then go kill of the Russians and Austrians as usual. I can't really say much about this one.
GUIDE FOR OTTOMAN 1815: link by Deleted
USA - similar to last time, but now you might have to go and help out Brazil if they have a hard time. Still medium though.
Great Britain - nobody can get on your land, pretty much same as always. A lot of sides France has to deal with though, only Nearby friend is Italy.
Russia - No more Poland. Scandinavia isn't a problem either. Now you can focus a lot more on Ottomans. However you have a lot of money so help your allies with it.
Prussia - Well Prussia, welcome to the grown-ups table! You have great gens and cool special units, but take care of France quickly or else they will have a massive army of resisting guards and horses with bombs coming straight for you.
Spain - Keep spamming militia. Just do it. While doing that go behind their lines and take South France, encircle their army and kill it, then go on further. At least thats my plan.
Canada - Same as last time. A big American army going straight for you. You're not as strong as America even though you have dominion militia which is pretty cool.
Mexico - Same as 1812 again, but now you have Gran Colombia as a neighbor. You have to help him out or Brazil will knock on your door when you least want it.

Algeria - don't let Egypt or Tribal Union spam at you. Declaring on Morocco is annoying since Spain has their back. Tribal Union is very weak as they have no money, really crap units and generals, and nobody on their back (yet).

Brazil - The fight on Colombia is fierce. Then after being exhausted there comes a Wave 2, Mexico. Also its in Americas so that sucks a bit.
Denmark - Kill your ri- Hey look at that! Your rival is now your friend! So who threatens you now? Nobody (yet)! Yeah, go kill France. Just do it.
Sweden - Same thing as Denmark. Just just kill France or prepare for a nasty army going for you.
Italy - this one I have no idea how to describe. Sure there is Bavaria but they join extremely late. Go kill Austria, and help France and Americas a bit.
Portugal - The most important thing at start is taking care of Spain from France. Give them a lot of money and either kill off the French army, or send a small army of miitia towards the French and sneak into their cities though I'm not sure if second strategy works.
Gran Colombia - Most American nations are harder then European ones because you have to pay lots of money to Europeans or lose Europe. The weaker American nations at 2 stars, Brazil is not weak. Mexico is usually too busy with America.

Bavaria - The hardest of 1815. That Big French Army, they go straight for you now! Prussia is 3 star so they can handle it easier but as a minor it's really bad. It's even worse when you consider that Italy and Naples go for you as well. Austria? well Austria is same as usual, struggling at start. Prussia is also still getting hit by France, so they can't aid you that much. This is from my experience.
Naples - Same as last time, but not extremely easy but still easy. I would recommend supporting USA and Brazil a lot so you don't have to waste bunch of time in America.
Egypt - Not too difficult but a challenge. There is one more guy in Africa now, tribal union. Ottos are a bit more survivable if they go for you.
Tribal Union - Overrated country imo. Sure, you have the worst units in the game and only those bad units, no money, bad gens, yeah yeah. But seriously, as such a bad nation, do you really HAVE to do much in Africa? Seriously my strategy is to just wait for everyone in Africa to join and not bribe them at all. Then when they join, I just eat popcorn and steal cities. Also I do bribing and support American allies with my money.
Morocco - The Algerians will go for tribal union first who can hold off for a bit, at least from my games. This makes these guys a bit easier. You don't have the worst units and it's not too hard to kill them off.
