My first thought was: "No way I will hire this guy, though he is the only one with aura (IAPs non included)". But now I am not so sure... Of course, one skill is not enough to hire a general, but his supporting role might be considerable. I usually use two Artillery generals with Tactic Master skill (Ivanov and Hotzendorf), so increasing their output by 20 percent could be really helpful at least in some situations...

Of course, one skill is not enough to hire a general, but his supporting role might be considerable. I usually use two Artillery generals with Tactic Master skill (Ivanov and Hotzendorf), so increasing their output by 20 percent could be really helpful at least in some situations... He costs coins, so if you end up dismissing him, it’s not a big deal.

Arty Commander is also a super rare skill, as far as I know it is just him and Foch with it

There really isn't any point behind a weak aura general. Much better to have 3 heavy hitters than 2 heavy(er) hitters and 1 light. And with the textbooks, his role and spotlight are gone.
