What's more to say, buy him immediately. His skills? Amazing. His rank? Not bad. His price? Pretty cheap for what he offers. He can deal with infantry, fortresses, ships, you name it. Best Artillery gen in this game. 5/5

5/5, the only guy better than him is Ferdinand Foch, the Artillery IAP. Hotzendorf is a must-have.

The relative strengths of generals in ET games doesn't always depend on their historical achievements. It could vary even from game to game. Hotzendorf, for example, was one of the weakest generals in EW5. And he was an infantry general back then. So, don't look for a historical research where there is none  |

I've successfully beaten many missions thanks to Hotzendorf. Very effective against fortifications and cities. One of the best, if not the best artillery general of the game in my opinion.
