He doesn't impress me. in wc3 I actually liked this guy, but now he just isn't that spectacular. You don't need many infantry generals and therefore this guy isn't needed, there are better options.

The sad truth about infantry. Rundstedt proves very efficient price-wise and combat-wise, so Vasilevsky may not get a chance to shine for most rosters... I still like this guy!

If you are considering him, you might as well get yamashita, only a 500 medals more difference. Rundtsendt is 700 medals cheaper and mannerheim 200. Nevertheless, ace forces is a good skill as as your rank increases, your maximum health does too.

This general is used more often by top players as their only infantry general. However, he is not the same tier as mannerheim yamashita rundstedt. Good damage but low movement, and damage is average as compared to others like nasser, mannerheim and rundstedt with their terrain bonuses.

The problem of Vasilevsky is he never get the combination of Raider and Guerrilla like other top Inf gens. You can ignore Bliztkrieg because Heavy and Super Tank have 2 hexes range attack; but with Infantry Raider and Guerrilla are must have skills.

Ye infantry are rather disadvantaged, would be useful if there a sniper infantry with 2 hex range(other than the commandos)

Good infantry general. You can give him Raider/Guerilla, max out his skills, max out his movement stars and he will become great. Unfortunately, he loses to Yamashita due to not being able to have the combination of Raider, Infantry Leader and Guerrilla. Also, Yama is just 515 medals more expensive than him. It’s worth it to save those meals, trust me. Yamashita is arguably the best infantry general in the game.

Good damage but low movement, and damage is average as compared to others like nasser, mannerheim and rundstedt with their terrain bonuses. Rundstedt is horrible unupgraded, even Zhukov outperforms him. I see Vasilevsky as an alternative to Mannerheim. He just has Entrenchment instead of Elastic Defense. I like Ace Forces more than Jungle Fighting because it’s an universal skill, but a general that starts with Level 3 Raider is great, too. Jungle Fighting is also Level 3. It's up to you, really. Both Vasilevsky and Mannerheim are great Infantry generals that make the least powerful troop type in the game quite useful if used correctly. Rundstedt is overrated. Those 300/500 cheaper medals don’t compensate the fact that his skills are pretty much useless with the exception of Guerrilla, which is mediocre without universal damage-boosting skills. Meanwhile, Vasilevsky and Mannerheim have Raider/Jungle Fighting and Infantry Leader/Ace Forces respectively, which are great skills for an Infantry general.
