Also his last mission looks very hard, it isnt. I used leeb guderian and rundstedt, so no naval generals, no naval star. leeb and rundstedt on double cruiser guderian on a super carrier. First of all you must kill the northern destroyer and sub behind first general because they stop you to attack with your subs to him. As a war principle, dont divide your forces to kill yamamoto. You must focus your firepower to one target and destroy it. After destroying sub and destroyer, with three of your tripple subs position on three side of first general and attack with subs and air force. (First general nagumo i think). dont attack with cruisers to first general because he has high level of sailor and leader and leader always trigger, you will get crazy damage. When your subs attacking first general, double cruisers will move to attack yamamoto. After killing him capture the port with sub. Only port block sub stay in port, other forces join cruisers to attack yamamoto. We came to most important part, when you kill the first general, second port general start moving to first port to capture it.You have 2-3 turns to kill yamamoto and capture second port when he leaved it. I used guderian’s moving ability to capture second port and wait until to yamamoto’s health drop until one-two shot before moving him. Dont capture first port with destroyer or cruiser because if you do it, land units attack it with crazy damages. U need only defend it not defeat land units. And if u capture the second port early, all enemys land and naval units will attack to capture again.so do it after killing yamamoto, this must be your last winning move. Tbh he is not worth anything, just get donitz or yamamoto, he is useless unupgraded and even upgraded won't be the best naval general, I don't recommend him, if you get him you will need to upgrade him hard to get him perform as good as you want, but donitz does better even with stock skills and yamamoto nails him on carriers without thinking, if you really want him well he isn't the worst choice, but he still won't be worth the medals you spend...

For around 1700 medals at full discount he is worth it. Donitz is not a hybrid like Nimitz and isn't an absolute beast on navy. I agree Yamamoto is a better air general but he costs 1200 more. If you have the money to get both, you can do so. However, Nimitz gets the job done for a much cheaper price. He should be your fourth or fifth General,depending on how much you want Konev

Nimitz is a beast on carriers and subs. His carrier does massive damage, even with anti air. His sub can destroy a huge chunk of Yamamoto's carriers.

Basically all the advantages donitz brings over nimitz comes at the expensive of losing Nimitz’ air ability and 1200 medals, both of which we can’t forgive. And not to mention, Mountbatten, Nagumo, and Kuznetsov can all be decent replacements for donitz. For donitz’s price, you can get both Nimitz and Kuznetsov. |
