Agree. Get Rokossovsky or Guderian if you need help getting Rommel. A tank general needs three skills to be called great: Armored Assault, Panzer Leader and Blitzkrieg. Only Guderian, Rokossovsky, Rommel and Erich von Manstein can have all three at the same time. Others are secondary options. Still, there are differences. Two generals can play well as supportive tank: Montgomery has air ability and Timoshenko has good skills. Patton is just not in the top 5. And true. Timoshenko is fast and cheap. He doesn’t hit extremely hard though. I have honestly used Arnold on Heavy/Super Tanks as a supporting general before, and he was also great. Montgomery is pretty expensive, but can be quite strong with the right investment: plain warfare + urban warfare + rumor + crossfire will make him hit hard. As for Patton, his output just isn’t very high. You would be better off using Messe as opposed to him. There are just so many generals better than him. Although, he won’t be necessarily awful end game: armored assualt and panzer leader can be both shoved on him, he will be inferior to every gold tank general, and even some of the silver ones such as sun lr, timoshenko, and vatutin. |

I dont think patton is good. just not good in combat and attacking. He is inferior to timoshenko. |

Pattons inferior to messe, right? Well depends on how upgraded they both are. But considering Messe costs 500 medals Patton costs 2600, its not really fair to compare them. Plus Messe doesn’t have any extra slots to shove a skill on. But Messe is very good for his price range but Patton isn’t if that’s what you are asking. |
