Upgrade Crowd tactics and give this guy Rumor and he is the best support general on a tank put him behind Guderian and Konev and you can destroy everything around you
I suggest getting him as a 3rd tank general

Timoshenko should be given the power to tank dmg & dish out strong attacks, even as a supporter. Crowd tactics & Camouflage do not help him, PF is still situational. HOWEVER, Rumour will be quite beneficial. Update: Timoshenko is just Messe but extra fast, has camouflage, trades lvl 2 Rumour for lvl 3 Plain Fighting and has higher HP. If that is worth 1 Messe-Leeb combo, go ahead and buy Timoshenko.

I have never been a fan of Timoshenko. His usefulness as a tank general is hampered by the fact he only has 4 tank stars and sliver tier so only 1 skill can be added.

Timo is the first gen I bought. His main advantage is that in early game he is ok for inf and art invasions too. Even in ship +2 hexes movement is not so bad advantage (I unlocked 40% Nimitz with Timoshenko only). Also in case you don't buy medals, most likely you will not have enough medals to upgrade for him anything more than rumor. For example, I'm now playing around 2.5 months and I am on exercise in Aegian sea (next one is last I think or something like that), from scenarios left only UN 8 and 9 hard, also I can get 3K medals from conquests (just they are too long for me, so I left them for the time I will collect most power to clear quickly, just cleared on 39 and one 43 to get medals). So In total I could get around 4K medals and than the only source of medals will be invasions, from which one fully upgraded golden gen takes more than 2 months. I have 6 gens and only Guderian has almost maxed skills, but even he has no rank upgrades, other gens have around 1.5-2K investments in upgrades. So instead of Timoshenko with lv5 rumor I could get Vatutin without upgrades. So I have very much ways to imvest my medals (including buying 2 more gens for conquests) before I will start to regret that I can't add one more skill to Timoshenko.

He's the moving general who is good only of you are quite a good player with generals with all areas(at least 2 pander generals, 1 artillery general and 1 navy general) before you can spend cash to get this great support. Timo is more of helping you clear insanely hard missions you meet in endgame where your end game generals like konev, guderian rommel etc just don't have the best damage output, then that's where timoshenko comes in to make life easier for you. Otherwise he's not recommended for starting players and average players.

Ye.. tho I wouldn't opt for him as a hybrid Well, anyway, shove rumor on him, and he will move super fast and will be able to do anything. He has crowd tactics and plain fighting to keep him punching. You can shove him on artillery and infantry as well, and he will be no less effective

Anyways I do agree with hybrid crowd tactics, and the movement would help too, but i only have yamashita now as a decent hybrid, and his movement is okay and he has stars in navy, thing is other than ace forces he lacks hybrid skills, and i guess timoshenko would prove better

With lvl 5 plain fighting, his output will not be too bad. With lvl 6 movement he’ll move super fast. With rumor he will be a deadly force on the battlefield. All of that for just a price tag of 1450 medals.

haha now youve convinced me to get him after selling yamashita for guderian, wanted to get rommel first but now im totally rooting for this guy If you have guderian, you can just stick all the best tank medals on him and give him rumor and cover. The thing with tank generals is that one with all lvl 5 skills and medals to compliment is stronger than 2 tank generals with all lvl 5 skills without the medals to compliment (iron cross, armored assualt, blitzkrieg). Timoshenko you can give him the crowd tactics medal and the plain fighting medal. But seeing as you have vatutin, that’s gonna make things a bit weird.
