Sorry Badoglio, but Wilhelm Ritter von Leeb is simply just better than you this time. One of, if not, the CHEAPEST arty gen with at least 5*, has arty leader & arty barrage. However, your potential in arty is more or less at MAX. For about ~200 more medals, you can get Leeb who can be used in endgame, so who's gonna be using Badoglio?

badogilo is very scary in conquests when you are playing as the allied powers, but thats all because you dont have leeb or konev being put up against him, maybe cuz he goes in the opposite direction, or gets killed before he can reach u

Decent artillery general, gets even better if you max his skills and give him all of his movement stars. Sadly, he is just 100 medals cheaper than Leeb, who is outright better than him. But I have seen Badoglio being good. There is a Brazilian youtuber named Rigby Wilde who has used him well. Naturally, he was replaced with Konev once Rigby was able to purchase Ivan. Poor Pietro.

He has an interesting story. Did you know that he became the Prime Minister of Italy after Mussolini was removed from power by the Fascist Grand Council and arrested by King Victor Emmanuel III?

However, your potential in arty is more or less at MAX. For about ~200 more medals, you can get Leeb who can be used in endgame, so who's gonna be using Badoglio? Some people get annoyed by the fact that Leeb needs a good amount of medals to upgrade his speed , while you don’t need to waste them to do that with Badoglio, just once and his speed is already at 3 stars. There are also people that only like to have 1 Artillery general, and as such they want to get Konev. But since they are far from getting Konev, they need a temporary general to serve as Artillery. Therefore, they want the cheapest decent general available, and that makes them choose Badoglio. Badoglio doesn’t need to be as upgraded as Leeb to become great, so that is another factor. They don’t care if Leeb at his full potential is better than Badoglio. Finally, there are the people that simply want to have him because he is Italian.

You guys have no idea how much of a goat this guy was in wc3 how so? Well the guy was extremely cheap. Beating wc3 with no generals in the beginning was brutal. Artillery was very strong in wc3, easily the strongest unit early in the game. Badoglio was honestly miles above everyone in his price range. The only generals better than him were bai, govorov, and konev. Furthermore, he had a crap ton of hp, good stars, great skills. Buying him early on absolutely saved a bunch of people in the brutal early stages of wc3
